Window Book Announces CoPal Program for Providing Greater USPS Drop Ship Entry Discounts

January 13, 2009, Cambridge, MA

Window Book is proud to announce we have added functionality to DAT-MAIL Toolbox that enables users to utilize ALG Worldwide Logistics CoPal program.  ALG provides the transportation and logistics for co-palletization and destination entry services.  DAT-MAIL software is the front end mailing software.  Together we have a new CoPal program to provide mailers with optimized drop ship entry discounts.

This CoPal program is incorporated in Window Book’s mailing software, DAT-MAIL Toolbox.  Mailers can use CoPal to process Standard Letter mail, and it enables mailers to profit from bigger USPS® Postage drop ship discounts for entries to approximately 334 USPS® Sectional Center Facilities (SCFs) and 29 BMC/ASF facilities.  DAT-MAIL Toolbox includes palletization functionality, complete freight planning analysis, Postage Statement generation and postage accounting functionality.  Compared to other post presort mailing software which requires multiple modules to import, palletize and optimize discounts, DAT-MAIL has proven its versatility and speed with easy to use enhanced functionality within one program.

Window Book’s DAT-MAIL is a complete mailing management post presort software that processes both Mail.dat and non-Mail.dat data, and maintains database of postal activities by client, job and permit.  It also allows mailers to generate USPS 8125, PS 3602, and PS 3541 postage statements automatically by importing the Mail.dat or by computer assisted entry of non-mail.dat presort data.  This flexibility and comprehensive reporting feature will help mailers save time, increase productivity and process their jobs faster.

In order to participate in Intelligent Mail Full Service you need to submit your Postage Statements and Mailing Documents electronically (eDocs) using the USPS® PostalOne!® system.

The good news is DAT-MAIL supports PostalOne! Mail.dat and Web Services now for transmitting eDocs and scheduling drop shipments with FAST.  DAT-MAIL will support Mail.XML 6 after it is released in fall 2009.

Your Next Step to go live with eDocs
In order for you to take advantage of DAT-MAIL’s support for the PostalOne! system, you must first register with USPS PostalOne!  Then, you have to complete your CAT (Customer Acceptance Test) and parallel test before being accepted by the U.S. Postal Service to go live with eDocs.

Avoid the hassle and let Window Book’s postal experts do the work for you.
All of these procedures including getting PostalOne! User ID and going through CAT and parallel testing can take months.

In effort to facilitate you in preparing for USPS PostalOne! and Intelligent Mail Full Service, Window Book has set up eDocs Expressway to:

- Get your Mailers ID(s)
- Get your PostalOne! user ID and password
- Be approved in CAT (Customer Acceptance Testing) – uploading data to PostalOne!
- Be approved in parallel testing – transmitting USPS Postage Statements, 3602, 3602N, 3600R, etc.,
in both traditional hard copy printouts and electronic format of uploading the file to PostalOne!

Request a no cost consultation regarding the eDocs Expressway now.
Your success is our success.

Thank you for your business and we wish you a prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,

J. Jeffery Peoples

Window Book releases Postal Package Partner with new USPS Domestic Rates effective January 18th 2009

Cambridge, MA, December 23, 2008

Window Book releases Postal Package Partner with new January 18th 2009 USPS domestic rates including the new Commercial Plus rates for Express Mail and Priority Mail.

Effective January 18, 2009 pricing for shipping services will change for Express Mail, Priority Mail, Parcel Select, Parcel Return Service and some international products.  For domestic service, it offers new competitive Commercial Plus pricing for high-volume Express Mail and Priority Mail users with upfront discounts.   Express Mail is about 14.5% lower than retail prices and 7% lower than retail prices for Priority Mail.

This Commercial Plus pricing is available to existing Priority Mail permit imprint customers who have shipped more than 100,000 pieces in the previous year (approx. 400/packages per day) or shipped more than 600 PMOD containers (Priority Mail Open & Distribute) in the previous year.  Express Mail Commercial pricing is available to manifest customers who shipped more than 6,000 pieces in the previous year.

Since May 2008, USPS has already made available discounted rates for businesses that send parcels through the U.S. Postal Service.  Many businesses have not taken advantage of these rates because they did not know about them or did not have the software to utilize those rates.

Be sure you are already getting your Commercial discounts and rates with the USPS and you are ready for the new rates effective January 18th 2009.

Prior to May 12, 2008 regardless of your package volume or how you paid for your postage USPS customers paid the same per piece (retail) price, as you and I. Now you can only use a postal permit or PC Postage to receive volume pricing and volume rebate incentives.  http://www.windowbook.com/Products/SoftwareforShipping.aspx [Postal Package Partner] is a shipping and manifesting software which prints shipping labels, uses permits to process postage, and transmits electronic files to the USPS.  All of Window Book’s Postal Package Partner (PPP) manifest customers qualify for the new lower Commercial Plus rates.

“In this tough economy when postal customers are looking to save money and reduce expenses, we are pleased to help shippers benefit from lower competitive prices which are offered by the Postal Service today and next year with Commercial Plus pricing structure,” said Jeffery Peoples, Window Book’s CEO.
