Alert: FAST – Corrupt June 20 File Postings from USPS

Batch File Processing Corruption Alert!  Please disregard the recent June 20 revision of the 060120014Mail Direction Files (v1, v2, and v3) and the Label Lists (L006 and L007).  It has come to our attention that the “06012014Update Release” posting dated June 20 was corrupted by an undetected batch processing error.  FAST App Support is aggressively working to re-post a corrected version as soon as possible but with an anticipated re-posting date no later than COB tomorrow – Wednesday, June 25, 2014.  In the interim – until the revised June 25 release is posted, mailers are encouraged to continue use of the original files that were posted as scheduled on June 1, 2014.  Those June 1 files remain available on-line for usage.  (NOTE:  The referenced June 20-corrupt files have been removed.)  We envision this is a temporary inconvenience; and we are implementing safeguards to ensure future corrupt files are detected before announced postings occur.

Once again, we regret this (short-term) system-related problem transpired; and a prompt resolution is underway.  If you have any questions or issues, please contact the FAST Help Desk via eMail at or via telephone @ 877-569-6614.  Thank you.

Be Prepared: New Monthly updates to USPS Data

Effective June 1, 2014, the United States Postal Service® (USPS®) will begin sending monthly updates to several critical data files, such as Labeling Lists, Mail Direction Files, and Zone Charts. (Currently the Labeling List data is updated quarterly.) This is a MAJOR change that will definitely impact mailers, possibly resulting in loss of postal discounts, or rejection of mailings if the mailing has not been processed using the correct data.
